What do I do when my life changes?

Your job has ended, your children have grown, or you have moved. How do you want to spend your time now?
A short read for your day

For years, you knew what you had to do each day. You had work to finish or someone who needed your care.

Now something has changed. The job has ended. The children have grown. A move has taken you far from the people who knew you.

You may have wanted this change, or you may not have had a choice. It can affect your time, your money, and the people you see. Some parts may feel good. Others may be hard.

Someone may tell you to find a hobby or enjoy your free time. But you may need more than something to keep you busy.

You may miss more than the work. You may miss the people you saw each day, the chats over lunch, or knowing that someone needed your help.

The role has changed. You still have things you know and things you enjoy.

Is there an old friend you would like to see? Do you have a skill you would like to use? What have you wanted to try but never had time for?

You do not need to fill every hour. Try one small plan for the week: call someone you miss, spend time on an old interest, or learn about a local group. What fits the time, money, and energy you have?

A question for your day

What would you like to do this week, and who could you do it with?
